No matter how tired you might be, it’s always a good idea to remove your make-up before letting your head hit the pillow.

Many of the products you use on your face can clog pores if left overnight, and before you know it, you’ve got another spot – or ten. A simple, quick bedtime cleansing ritual can easily spell the difference between breakouts and beautiful skin.

Step 1: Wipe off eye make-up.

Mascara and eyeliner are usually the toughest to wash away, so use a liquid or cream remover made specifically for your eyes first. Use a cotton pad to gently wipe off your make-up, taking care not to scrub the sensitive skin around your eyes.

Step 2: Wash away the rest.

Once you’ve cleared your eye make-up, wet your face and gently massage some cleanser onto your skin. Don’t forget to cover your hairline and jawline, especially if you use foundation. Let the cleanser sit for about 15 seconds before washing it off. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.
